Cofoco
Cofoco is a network of good quality snack bars. It’s placed near the main railway station and boasts of innovative cuisine concepts at low prices. You can order there both a comprehensive lunch of 4 dishes (it will cost around 35 Euros), and the same assortment of small dishes (10 Euros per each dish). This lunch includes a meat or fish dish, salad, dessert and a vegetable soup. In general, you can eat in Cofoco as much as you can, or how much your wallet allows.

Madklubben Vesterbro
This is a well-known and respected restaurant chain in Copenhagen. The largest and newest restaurant is located on Vesterbrogade, in the former supermarket. It’s a large restaurant which can accept about 230 visitors at once. Despite its size, stylish, minimalist interior looks pretty cool. You can watch the work of the chefs through a large window of the open kitchen. Just don’t worry about the fact that you won’t get a table. Quite simple menu offers hearty dishes of Danish cuisine at low prices, however, of good quality. It’s recommended to order a lamb steak, a simple hamburger, or fresh fish. Vegetarian dishes are also available.

Biomio
This traditional restaurant is located in the building of the old ‘Bosch’ warehouse. The fans of biodynamic cuisine can dine there in an informal atmosphere with long tables. The choice of dishes is impressive, and includes meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. All of them are organic. There’s even a children’s menu offering organic pasta and meatballs. Those who stick to raw food can also enjoy tasty delicacies. Takeaway food option is possible at request.

Spiseri
Spiseri is a simple and cozy Italian restaurant in Vesterbro. In general, it’s a snack bar with no extra frills, but with good food cooked of organic ingredients, and a friendly, homely atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, but the menu often changes (look at the restaurant’s board to choose a dish of the day). The choice of snacks is a little modest. On the first Sunday of the month there is a wide choice of sweets and bakery.

Sporvejen
Sporvejen is a tiny café situated on the beautiful Grabrodretorv square. In fact, the cafe is placed in a railway carriage of the decommissioned tram with real seats and wooden cabins. So, it’s ideal for those who like unusual culinary establishments. The cafe is a little cramped, but it’s nothing compared to such an incredible atmosphere! Sporvejen specializes in hamburgers, with a range of omelets and food for vegetarians. It’s even possible that there won’t be free tables.

Den Okologiske Polsemand
This is the kiosk offering tasty hot dogs. A few years ago, Copenhagen was full of these establishments, but nowadays it’s a rarity. Nevertheless, this store positions itself as a place with a healthy food. Probably, this is not entirely true, but their hot dogs are really amazing. One hot dog will cost you about 5 Euros, and you can order various fillings, including organic puree from a mixture of potatoes and parsnips.

Gorm’s Pizza
Gorm’s Pizza is a cozy pizzeria situated near Torvehallerne vegetable market. The selection of this Italian dish is just incredible – you can find the list of available kinds of pizza on the board near the entrance to the cafe. Sauces for pizza are also impressive: there are sweet, sour, bitter and salty ones for any tastes and preferences. The restaurant is also known for its healthy version of pizza wrapped in a crisp lettuce leaf. Every day from 10am to 12 noon you can enjoy breakfast menu, which includes pizza, fried eggs, beans and pancetta. Prices for pizza start from 6-8 Euros.

Alex Sushi
If you want to taste rolls and sushi, and at the same time seafood, head to a relatively cheap Alex Sushi restaurant. This modern sushi bar is largely focused on fish dishes and sushi, as well as provides a rich selection of seafood and dishes of Scandinavian cuisine.
